The canned tunes are fairly conservative as far as performance goes. The difference in a canned "93 octane tune" and a canned "87 octane tune" is typically about 2˚ global which translates to single digit hp gains/losses on our cars in N/A bolt-on trim. I had a diablo handheld turner which i ditched for a SCT 4 bank chip w/ BAMA tuning. those two passes i noticed it feeling a lot better, and in turn, ran that time. My old clutch felt terrible most of the time, and sometimes it felt perfect. i let the car sit for an hour and a half, and i ran that pass, with a 13.6 right after. this is with the 87 tune, 75mm throttle body, c&l plenum, k&n air filter, bassani catted x pipe, flowmaster weld-in mufflers, headlight removed, stock gears, and a horrible, slipping clutch. When i went to the track WITH my tunes (had 87 on during the passes i made because of recently climbing gas prices) i had a best of a 13.5 at 100.94 mph. i went to the track after my tunes (a couple weeks ago) and before my tunes (last fall and spring) and managed, before the tunes, a fastest of 13.7 at 99.8 mph. it even feels like i'm in the seat a little more. for me, i noticed my car climbing rpms quicker over 4000 rpm. The race is a combo of high rpm pulling and low rpm torque. the street tune is decent for around-town driving, and helps you rev up quicker. Well when i put my bama tunes on, i definitely felt a difference.
